We believe transparency is non-negotiable. In an industry where “eco-friendly” and “non-toxic” are often used as marketing buzzwords, we choose proof over promises. Many brands claim biodegradability or chemical safety, yet rarely provide independent test results to support those claims.
Here is the reality. High-performance mats require fractionation and processing to deliver the grip, resilience and lifespan that serious practice demands. Those processes mean they will not fully break down like untreated rubber, and claims suggesting otherwise without certification are often marketing rather than science.
PhytaPro® is crafted using responsibly sourced natural rubber and jute, and manufactured without the use of PVC, glues or plasticisers. Each batch is independently tested by SGS in accordance with EU REACH requirements (Regulation EC No. 1907/2006) for a broad panel of regulated restricted substances, including certain plasticisers, heavy metals and phthalates.

The natural jute fibre surface combined with the rubber base provides excellent dry and wet grip. It performs especially well in flow, power, or high-intensity sessions. The more you use it, the better it grips

No. And we think it’s important to be upfront about that.
While PhytaPro® mats are made from natural rubber and jute, the processing required to achieve consistent grip, durability, and performance means they are not fully biodegradable like untreated raw materials.
Rather than making broad biodegradability claims, we’ve chosen to focus on longevity, creating a mat designed to perform well for years and reduce the need for frequent replacement.
Yes. We work with manufacturing partners who are required to meet clear ethical standards, including fair wages, safe working conditions, and zero tolerance for child or forced labour. These expectations are written into our Supplier Agreements and form part of how we choose and maintain long-term partnerships.
Yes – as your Phytapro® mat is made with natural rubber, it may contain latex proteins.
You may notice a slight natural rubber scent when first unboxed- this is normal and fades with use. We don’t use any artificial fragrances or masking agents.

Not at this stage. PhytaPro® mats are available in black only. This is a conscious design choice that allows us to limit the use of additional dyes and keep the manufacturing process simple, consistent, and tightly controlled, while focusing on grip, durability, and long-term performance.
Depending on the type of practice, and of course with proper care, your PhytaPro® mat is designed to last for a long time. Natural rubber and jute are highly durable and break down far more slowly than synthetic mats.
We do not offer refunds for change of mind under our PhytaPro Standard Refund Policy, and all payments are final and non-refundable unless otherwise provided for under applicable Consumer Protection legislation. However if for any reason your mat is damaged or faulty upon receiving it or it is not the correct item to what you ordered, we will exchange it with a replacement product of the same value.
Returns
PhytaPro offers a 14-day returns policy on all online Mat purchases if it is received by you under any of the following conditions:

- Mat/s are faulty
- Mat/s are not the correct item/s you ordered
If your Mat meets the above conditions, we will exchange it with a replacement Mat of the same value.
